At the Town Council meeting held on 13th October 2011
Councillors adopted a new Grants Policy together with an
Application Form. Any groups wishing to apply for a grant
will need to make reference to this policy and complete a grant
application form. Both documents can be downloaded via the
links below or a copy obtained from the office.

A grant of £875 was awarded to Stocksbridge & District Pentaqua
Swimming Club for assistance towards their Annual Open Gala.
A grant of £275 was awarded to Stocksbridge Community Care Group
for assistance towards transport costs for older people
registered with SCCG.

A grant of £600 was awarded to Stocksbridge Friendship Bowling
Club for assistance towards the costs of repairs to the mowing
machine and levelling of paving slabs around the green.

A donation of £150 was awarded to Deepcar Brass Band for playing
at this year's Remembrance Day Parade.
A grant of £500 was awarded to Junior Fox F.C. for funding
towards kit and equipment.

A grant of £600 was awarded to Stocksbride Cycling Club towards
the purchase of road bikes for juniors.

A grant of £1000 was awarded to Deepcar Village Community
Association for funding towards the Annual Community Bonfire
event.

A grant of £500 was awarded to Stocksbridge Park Steels Juniors
F.C. for the purchase of footballs.

A grant of £400 was awarded to the Stocksbridge Walkers Are
Welcome Group as a contribution towards costs.

A grant of £4000 was awarded to Steel Valley Project as a
contribution towards the costs for 2011/12.

A contribution of £1600 was awarded to Valley In Bloom Group for
the 2011/12 season.

A grant of £500 was awarded to Stocksbridge Park Steels F.C. for
membership of their Lifeline Appeal.

A grant of £648 was awarded to Stocksbridge Tennis Club for
assistance towards their Summer Tennis Camp.
A grant of £250 was awarded to Stocksbridge & Upper Don
Community Health Forum towards photocopying and postage costs.

A grant of £800 was awarded to Activity Sheffield for programmes
to be carried out in this area.

A grant of £500 was awarded to Valley Community Gardens for
funding assistance towards their project.

A grant of £750 was awarded to Stocksbridge Advice Centre for
funding towards volunteer expenses.

A grant of £250 was awarded to Valley Pentecostal Church for
finding towards their Easter Playscheme.
A grant of £890 was awarded to Drive It Home for funding of 10
places on the simulator driving course as presented to Council
in 2010/11.

A grant of £450 was awarded to Stocksbridge & District
Federation of Racing pigeons for funding towards for 2011/2012
season.

A grant of £640 was awarded to Stocksbridge & Disrict Golf Club
- Juniors Section for costs towards their proposed Junior
coaching scheme.

A grant of £875 was awarded to Stocksbridge & District Pentaqua
Swimming Club for costs towards their Annual Spring Sprints
Gala.

A grant of £500 was awarded to Stocksbridge Cycling Club towards
the costs of club clothing and affiliation costs.

A grant of £1000 was awarded to Deepcar Village Community
Association for assistance towards this year's community
bonfire.

The Town Council purchased three poppy wreaths from the Royal
British Legion at a cost of £150 for this year's Remembrance Day
Service.
A grant of £500 was awarded to Stocksbridge Community Care Group
for costs towards the proposed Carers Support Project.

A grant of £4000 was awarded to Steel Valley Project for costs
for 2010/2011.

A grant of £150 was awarded to Birdwell Wheelers for support for
the Hill Climb event on Pea Royd Lane in October 2010.

A grant of £1600 was awarded to Valley In Bloom for support for
the project for 2010/11.

A grant of £250 was awarded to Valley Pentecostal Church for
assistance towards their Summer Holiday Club.
A grant of £1000 was awarded to Drive-2-Survive towards the
purchase of a driving simulator, plus funding for up to ten
places per year for local youths aged between 17-24 who have
been referred by the local Police.
A grant of £648 was awarded to Stocksbridge Tennis Club for
assistance towards their Summer Tennis Camp.
A grant of £250 was awarded to Stocksbridge Lip Reading Group
for support of the classes available in Stocksbridge.

The Town
Council also have an arrangement with Sheffield Community
Transport to provide a minibus and driver to groups for
outings. Groups can apply to the Town Council for a transport
grant of up to £275.00 per annum. Once again details of the
group, a copy of its constitution and set of accounts is
required by the Town Council.
