To apply
for a grant a letter giving details of the group, amount of
funding required, purpose of funding etc. needs to be sent to
the Town Council together with a copy of the groups constitution
and a recent set of accounts.

A grant of £290 was awarded to Steel Valley Project for
assistance towards this year's Carols on the Quad event.
A grant of £1000 was awarded to Bolsterstone Village Hall Trust
for assistance towards renovation works on the Village Hall.
A grant of £1000 was awarded to the Carers Group of Royd Nursery
& Infant School for assistance towards the costs of their film
making project.

A grant of £250 was awarded to Stocksbridge and Upper Don
Community Association for assistance towards
photocopying/stationery costs.
A grant of £1000 was awarded to the Deepcar Village Community
Association for assistance towards this year's Community Bonfire
to be held on 7th November 2009 at Parsonage Farm, Deepcar.
A grant of £135 was awarded to the Stocksbridge Junior Cricket
Club for assistance with funding celebration shirts for the
Under 13 squad, including the Town Council logo.
A grant of £200, plus a trophy, was awarded to the Thurcroft
Cycling Club for assistance towards the National Hill Climb
Championships to be held in Stocksbridge on 25th October 2009.
A grant of £4000 was awarded to Steel Valley Project for
assistance towards activities and projects within the area for
the financial year 2009/10.

A grant of £408 was awarded to Stocksbridge Tennis Club for
assistance towards their Summer Tennis Camp.
A grant of £500 was awarded to Stocksbridge Park Steels F.C. for
membership to their Lifeline Appeal.
A grant of £400 was awarded to Waldershelf Choral Society for
assistance towards equipment costs.

A grant of £289 was awarded to Newton Grange for funding towards
a greenhouse for their 'Dig your Dinner' initiative.

A grant of £2017 was awarded to 1st Stocksbridge (32nd
Sheffield) Scout Troop for funding towards the redevelopment of
the Scout Hut on Nanny Hill.

A grant of £500 was awarded to Stocksbridge Park Steels Junior
F.C. for funding towards the purchase of 'respect' barriers to
comply with new F.A. rules.

A grant of £2500, plus the cost of sponsorship logos, was awarded
to Stocksbridge Fire Station towards their new branch of Fire
Cadets, to be used for the purchase of fire kit and uniforms.

A donation of £100 was awarded to St Mary's Church Bolsterstone
towards the Bolsterstone Flower Festival.

A grant of £1000 was awarded to Steel Valley Beacon Arts for
their Community History through the Arts project.

A grant of £150 was awarded to the Thurcroft Cycling Club
towards their Annual Hill Climb event on 4th October 2009.

A contribution of £3850 was awarded to Stocksbridge In Bloom
towards their continued work within the area for the financial
year 2009/10.

A grant of £250 was awarded to the Valley Pentecostal Church
towards their Easter Holiday club project.
A grant of £750 was awarded to the Stocksbridge & District
Pentaqua Swimming Club towards their Annual Spring Sprints Gala.

A grant of £450 was awarded to the Stocksbridge & District
Racing Pigeons club towards their 2009/10 season.

The Town
Council also have an arrangement with Sheffield Community
Transport to provide a minibus and driver to groups for
outings. Groups can apply to the Town Council for a transport
grant of up to £275.00 per annum. Once again details of the
group, a copy of its constitution and set of accounts is
required by the Town Council.
