Welcome to the home page of Stocksbridge Town Council website.

Stocksbridge is a small town situated approximately 10 miles north of the City of Sheffield, nestling at the edge of the Pennines and the Peak District National Park and is the home of Corus Engineering Steels, the British manufacturer for Aerospace Steels products.

The town council covers 3 areas, namely:- Stocksbridge, Deepcar and Bolsterstone, and is part of the City Council's Stocksbridge and Upper Don Ward. The total population for the Town Council is 13,789 (as at end of 2007).

The aim of Stocksbridge Town Council is to improve the quality of life for everyone throughout our area. Stocksbridge Town Council work in partnership with larger authorities, organisations and community groups to improve the area and to increase the amount of work that is done locally to regenerate the whole area. Stocksbridge is currently part of a regeneration programme proposed for the town centre.
