The Stocksbridge Pride project has been
designed to reinforce the identity of Stocksbridge Town centre
and create an attractive and safer place for people to live,
shop, work and enjoy.
A series of public consultation events have
been held to ascertain both community and business views on
proposals for the project.
Phase I of the project, which
concentrated on the area around the precinct,
funded by Stocksbridge Town Council, Objective One, SCC and the
Single Regeneration Budget, was completed Autumn 2006.
The work has been completed to a high
standard with quality materials being used throughout. It
has provided a much more pleasurable and accessible area for the
community. It is hoped that this work can be built upon
with further enhancements to the area.
